Dear Friends of The FARM,
The sheep aren't reading the Journal.
The chickens don't follow the Dow.
The cows aren't on a voluntary diet.
So THEY can't help. But YOU can. The FARM needs us. Choices abound:
- Direct donations to fund operations--basics like food, heat, and staff. This is where your help
is most needed. Please click on donate, send a check to The FARM Institute at PO Box 1868, Edgartown, MA 02537, or email Rob at rob@farminstitute.org.
- Meals in the Meadow is the major fundraiser for The FARM. This year it will be held on July
18th (Tickets are now available!). There are many ways to help with this event - sponsorships,
auction item donations, volunteering your time and so much more. Please view our auction
wish list. Contact Cathy (cathy@farminstitute.org) to help or visit Meals in The Meadow for more information.
- Donate to the scholarship fund to send a child to camp. For many children, this is the only
way they can participate. Contact Rob (rob@farminstitute.org) to make a donation to this fund or make a donation online.
- Provide references for other families who want to send their children to The FARM programs because we're really going to need a strong attendance this summer. Contact TFI's Education Director
Sidney Morris (education@farminstitute.org).
- Remember that extra DVD player or office copier you no longer need? The FARM just might
need it. Please check out the WISHLIST for ways you can help.
- Volunteer your time this summer--helping out with the farm stand, working in the garden,
office help or whatever is needed in order to lower our costs. Please contact Chrissy
(office@farminstitute.org) to find ways to help or click on Volunteering.
If we all step up to the plate, the animals will remain blissfully unaware of the state of the economy.
We all need to help in whatever way we can to make sure The FARM can continue to be there for our
children and generations to come.
Please help, and thank you,
