We have a new message board on The FARM Institute website!

Carpooling & Community Communication
 Message Board For your communication pleasure, The FARM Institute (TFI) has added a message board to its website so that TFI community members have a way to stay connected. Our first topics on the board allow parents to communicate with each other about carpooling to Katama Farm for the summer programs. You can start using the message board right now, or you can read-on for more information.

What is a Message Board?
 A web-based message board is similar to a community bulletin board (for example a cork board at a town library). The message board gives people a place to post messages to community members--in this case the message board topics are focused on The FARM Institute.

Our board is located at http://www.farminstitute.org/wforum/, and all TFI community members are welcome to post to it.

How Do I Use a Message Board?
 Register to use the message board To use the message board, you must sign up for an account so that you can log in. Only registered community members wlll be allowed to post to the board. This policy helps enhance the security and safety of the message board for all members.

To register, just click on the Register arrow to the right, or click the Register link in the top left corner of http:// www.farminstitute.org/wforum/. Follow the brief signup process, and you'll be ready to post!

To Post to the message board:

  1. login to the board using the username and password you selected during registration
  2. click the link for the board you want to post to
  3. click the New Topic button if you want to start a new topic, or
  4. click Post Reply button when responding to a posting

Current Message Board Topics
 The current message board topics are:
  1. Summer Camp & WISP Carpooling
  2. Wee Farmer Carpooling
  3. Farmer for a Day Carpooling
With these topics you can share information with other parents who are bringing their children to the TFI summer programs. Please note that if you post your contact information it will be readable by anyone who visits the message board. If you prefer, once registered, you can change settings on your User Control Panel so that you can email each other privately.

More topics will be added to the board as they are needed.

Message Board Ethics
 The message board registration can only be completed (and message-posting access granted) after agreeing to the terms of the registration agreement.

The agreement terms require that you post only appropriate verbiage and content to the message boards. If a user violates the agreement terms, he/she will first be blocked from using the board and then likely banned from posting.

Inappropriate content can be reported on the message board or by sending an email to this email address: forum@farminstitute.org

The message board is provided to help and enhance the Katama Farm community. Please use it as much as you would like to. We welcome our online community.
