Farm Institute Presents Evening Of Entertainment & Thoughtful
Nuggets…
What essential value for following our dreams does Cher hold in
common with Katherine Hepburn? What inspirational lesson can every
one us learn from Oprah Winfrey’s amazing “godwink” story?
These are but two of the delightful discoveries unveiled in a crowd-warming
performance of Music, Inspiration & Comedy at “Meals
In The Meadow”. Starring Louise DuArt, one of the world’s
top comedic-impressionists, and her bestselling author husband,
SQuire Rushnell.
For eight seasons Louise DuArt has received rave reviews on tour
with legendary comedians Tim Conway and Harvey Korman at Performing
Arts Centers across the nation. Her array of celebrity and wacky
original characters also regularly emerge on her popular talkshow
Living The Life seen every morning on the ABC Family Channel.
SQuire Rushnell is the bestselling author of the when GOD winks
series which Oprah Winfrey recently endorsed as encouraging books “about
those little coincidences that aren’t really coincidence.” Many
of the stories told by Rushnell were uncovered during his 20 years
at ABC where he led Good Morning America to number one and fathered
such innovative programs as SchoolHouse Rock and The ABC Afterschool
Specials.
“It’s extraordinary to watch this delightful couple
blend their talents on stage,“ says one event producer, “DuArt
and Rushnell weave together inspirational stories, funny characters,
and music, leaving the audience with memorable entertainment and
thoughtful nuggets to takeaway.” Music will be provided
by fiddler extraordinaire, Alicia Jo Rabins, a flat-out virtuoso
on the violin and internationally acclaimed Eastern European folk
violinist Sarah Alden.

The FARM Institute (TFI) is a teaching farm founded over five
years ago to educate and engage children and adults in sustainable
agriculture through the operations of a diverse working farm. In
spring 2005, TFI acquired the lease of the Edgartown owned 200-acre
farmland, Katama Farm. TFI has been entrusted with the stewardship
of this farm, located just before South Beach. TFI provides year-round
education programs offering learning experiences in livestock management,
gardening, nutrition and the traditions of Island farming. Last
year over 1,500 school age children participated in programs and
countless numbers of adults and volunteers lent a hand.
Meals in the Meadow will help fund student scholarships, capital
improvements, land renovation and teachers’ salaries. Please
