The FARM Institute proudly presents, CORN-A-PALOOZA on Saturday, August 26, 4-8 pm at Katama Farm

Edgartown, MA (August 16th, 2006) - The summer ain't over yet!  The FARM Institute proudly presents their annual FUNraiser- CORN-A-PALOOZA at Katama Farm, 14 Aero Ave., August 26th from 4-8 pm.   Admission $15.00 (under 3 gets in free!) 

Corn-A-Palooza is a chance for visitors and island residents alike to help support The FARM Institute.  This year’s Corn-A-Palooza offers activities for the whole family to enjoy.  Dance to live acoustic folk, blues and bluegrass music featuring: The Belties, The Taylor Brown Trio, Jake Leg Jug Luggers, Maynard & Milo Silva and special guests.

Everyone will have the opportunity to experience the FARM Institute’s 5 acre corn maze. Enjoy taking the “FARM Quest”, make scarecrows, play field games, get your face painted and jump on the hayride. 

Organic Hamburgers and Hotdogs (generously donated by Dakota Beef) will be available a la carte as well as locally grown corn on the cob from Morning Glory Farm. 

TFI is committed to involving the whole island in this fundraising effort. “This is a community farm and we would like to see as many people here as possible. At 15 dollars a ticket everyone can make a contribution, have fun and support the farm!” says, Rob Goldfarb Camp& Event Director.  Donations above the ticket price are gladly accepted.

The FARM Institute was founded with a vision to educate and engage children and adults in sustainable agriculture through a diverse working farm.  Located at the 186 acre Katama Farm property in Edgartown, the Farm Institute provides year round education programs offering learning experiences in livestock management, gardening, nutrition and the tradition of Island farming. 

All proceeds from Corn-A-Palooza will benefit TFI’s education programs.
