Edgartown, MA (October 30th,) – Attention young
and old…Bike, Run and Hunt like you never have before! Come
and play in the corn maze one last time as TFI presents, The
Katama Challenge on Sunday November 5th, 12-4pm.
On Sunday, November 5th the corn maze at Katama Farm is being
transformed into a biking maze of fun. The course is being
designed by Edgartown Bicycles and TFI’s Farm Hand Dave Broer. Participants
will have the opportunity to race against the clock and themselves
as they whiz through the corn stalks. Prizes such as a pastured
raised turkey will be given to those that complete the course at
a predetermined pace. This means any one can win!
Don’t like biking? Then try running and hunting! Foot
races will take place immediately following the biking. A
scavenger hunt through the maze will end the afternoon’s
heart pumping activities.
Time of activities:
- 12-2pm - Bike Race
- 2-3pm - Foot Races
- 3-4pm - Scavenger Hunt
There will be a $10.00 registration
fee per individual or a $20.00 registration fee for families. All proceeds will benefit
TFI’s education programs.
To keep well fueled, Mocha Mott’s, MV Bagels and Island
Food Products have donated bagels, coffee and hot apple cider. Commemorative
Katama Challenge T-shirts will be available for sale.
TFI is a non-profit farm and education center that seeks to educate
and engage the community in sustainable agriculture through the
diverse operations of a working farm.
