Katama Challenge PosterEdgartown, MA (October 30th,) – Attention young and old…Bike, Run and Hunt like you never have before!  Come and play in the corn maze one last time as TFI presents, The Katama Challenge on Sunday November 5th, 12-4pm.

On Sunday, November 5th  the corn maze at Katama Farm is being transformed into a biking maze of fun.  The course is being designed by Edgartown Bicycles and TFI’s Farm Hand Dave Broer.  Participants will have the opportunity to race against the clock and themselves as they whiz through the corn stalks.  Prizes such as a pastured raised turkey will be given to those that complete the course at a predetermined pace.  This means any one can win!
Don’t like biking?  Then try running and hunting!  Foot races will take place immediately following the biking.  A scavenger hunt through the maze will end the afternoon’s heart pumping activities.

Time of activities:

  • 12-2pm - Bike Race
  • 2-3pm - Foot Races
  • 3-4pm - Scavenger Hunt

There will be a $10.00 registration fee per individual or a $20.00 registration fee for families.  All proceeds will benefit TFI’s education programs.

To keep well fueled, Mocha Mott’s, MV Bagels and Island Food Products have donated bagels, coffee and hot apple cider.  Commemorative Katama Challenge T-shirts will be available for sale.

TFI is a non-profit farm and education center that seeks to educate and engage the community in sustainable agriculture through the diverse operations of a working farm.
