The aim of Community Supported Agriculture is to build a healthy
community by providing a local, organic food supply and re-establishing
a relationship between the community and the farmer. It is a partnership
and at its core is mutual commitment: the farm feeds the people,
the people support the farm and share in the inherent risks and
potential bounty. This relationship increases community involvement
in food production and in the health of the local economy and environment.
What being a FARM Institute CSA member offers:
- Monthly Shares of Seasonal
Vegetables, Fruits and Herbs
distributed every Tuesday or Friday at The FARM Institute. Some
examples of the seasonal produce offered are tomatoes, carrots,
lettuce, beets, watermelons, corn, radishes, onions, pumpkins,
beans, eggplant, salad mix and so much more.
- Monthly Newsletters
- Recipes and food preparation tips
- Access to
Educational Activities and
Community Events on The FARM
- An opportunity to support small scale
sustainable agriculture and the local economy
A share feeds a family of four.
Shares are available for the months of June, September,
and October. July and August are SOLD OUT!
