Anne Floyd - Board of Directors

Descendant of one of the Island’s original settling families, the Peases. Prior to becoming a year-round resident 17 years ago spent every summer since 1943 on the family "farm", Tom’s Neck Farm, on Chappaquiddick.

Degrees:

• Associate of Science – Medical Technology
• Bachelor of Science – Natural Science

Mother of four grown children and four grandchildren, the eldest has been active in the Farm Institute’s programs.

Presently founder and owner of Sandcastle Realty, Inc., established 1992

Prior recent business experience:

Founder of Martha’s Vineyard Buyer Agents established 1998 Co-founder of Cargill & Floyd Communications, a sports marketing company in Boston established 1981 Biofeedback Therapist for 15 years (seems like a former lifetime!).

Recent Community Service:

• Former Edgartown Board of Health member (6 years)
• MVC Steering Committee member
• Board Member – The Yard
• Board Member – Chamber of Commerce
• Board Member –Alumni Advisory Board- Colby Sawyer College
• Volunteer at many miscellaneous Fund raising events
