As
the Development Manager at the FARM Institute beginning in Fall
2008, I am excited to not only expand my understanding of development
work, but also to become more knowledgeable on sustainability,
farming and educating young people on the importance of caring
for our earth and life. The mission and values of The FARM Institute
coupled with the expertise of the staff and the positive energy
of the children's
enjoyment make this my ideal working environment.
My educational background includes a Masters in Public Administration
and a decade-long career working in non-profit organizations. At the same
time, I have had the opportunity to work for several summers as a landscaper
and gardener. I am motivated by the challenge of learning new skills and
ideas and I am always seeking a new project to begin.
My downtime includes walks/hikes with my dog Savannah, reading, helping
out at the horse barn with my family, and my biggest passion, which is
traveling. Traveling offers the opportunity to learn more about
other cultures and about myself, as well.
I look forward to learning at The FARM Institute and working with
great staff and the community.
