Being part of the sea, sailing the Caribbean I used to be called, “Rob the Noble Pirate”. But now that I joined The FARM Institute in the fall of 2005 as the Camp and Events Director, you can now call me “Rob the Noble Sheep”. I am looking forward to creating a dynamic camp for children to grow, learn, and play. I have worked with elementary, special needs, teenagers and adults in both the classroom and beyond. I loved to see kids get excited
about learning. Enthusiasm, passion and commitment are the driving forces in my work with children. According to Nell Noddings, the main aim of education should be “to produce competent, caring, loving and loveable people.” This pedagogy has been the foundation in my teaching that has helped me plan, execute and reflect my role as a teacher. Learning to care, working on self-esteem, self-motivation, risk taking, and expression are just as important goals (if not more) as the academic ones. In addition to working with youth, I have been a, production manager/director for theater groups, conferences and international musical festivals. I plan to utilize these skills and experiences in developing captivating and rewarding event experiences for the Island community.
When I’m not working I love to dance, bike, read, travel and spend time with my beautiful wife Magda.
Hope to see you on the farm!
Rob, The Noble Sheep
