FARM Staff - Mary Baker, Lead Teacher/Farmer
Having grown up in New York City, I am a complete novice with regards to knowing what is involved in running a farm. But I consider myself a lifelong learner and with the incredible enthusiasm, knowledge and support of the FARM staff I know I will continue to grow. I have spent many years in education as a special education teacher and speech/language pathologist. I love introducing young children to the farm and getting them started early in their appreciation of the land and our animal friends. On the farm, I have also had the opportunity to explore and develop my other new interest which is photography. Things like this just seem to happen on Martha’s Vineyard—a special place in itself.

Hi.
My name is Mary O’Neill-Baker and I am happy to introduce myself
as part the FARM Institute staff. I began at the FARM as a volunteer
two years ago and quickly became enamored with the place. Between
the friendly staff, the variety of animals and this special piece
of property next to South Beach, I couldn’t think of another place
I would rather spend my time.
