Hey there!
My name is Baloo. The first thing I am going to tell you about myself
is that I am a Leonberger. Although I am big, I am also lovable, sweet
and gentle. Leonbergers are not only super friendly family dogs but useful
too. We have been used as nanny’s to baby-sit the farmer’s
children and their livestock, rescue stranded and lost people in both
the mountains and at sea, and also used as therapy dogs for senior citizens
and children with learning disabilities. However don’t let my size
fool you, I am still a puppy and have much to learn.
I am at
The FARM Institute, because this is my home. I grew up here along
with the Farmers in Training kids, and all the other farm critters. The
pigs are my best pals though. They are a riot! I love to be at the farm
because I get to see so many kids who just like me are curious, enjoy
learning new things, and love to play. At the farm, I get to take naps,
watch the garden grow, take some more naps, play and hang out with my
pals.. both human and farm animals alike. I also love to be petted.
When I am not on the farm, you will find me swimming. I am a
strong swimmer, but it helps that my paws are webbed like a duck!
Lastly, when you come and visit the farm I would appreciate it
if you can bring me treats such as peanut butter, apples, carrots or any
other delicious edible you can think of. I am thinking of starting my
own blog page in order to best help you choose what kind of treats you
can bring me… but
in the meantime, you can write to rob@farminstitute.org if you want to
get in contact with me. I hope to see you soon!
